Well those dishes you mentioned seems nice especially the ox's tail in thick peanut sauce. We have in our country a dish called Kare-kare, intestine served with thick peanut sauce and some greens. I hope you could post some pictures of your country's very own exotic dish.

Aside from this, we may also want to try to eat cats. Yes, I see people who eat cats in remote places her in our country. I know PETA and many of you found this as very inhumane and an act of cruelty. But, when people are very poor and no food to eat, many will result to such heinous acts which other found brutal. Its not really an exotic food, but a food eaten due to poverty.

No wonder why I don't see stray cats in that neighborhood.

I thought eating cats was a myth, I mean the story that people used to put it in siopao and sell it on the streets. Well others also eat dog meats, they think it was a good beer-mate but as the law prohibited eating such animal meats, I rarely see people eating dog meats.

I'm from the US, and honestly, I can't think of anything really out there compared to other countries' exotic foods. We end up stealing all of our food ideas from other countries, so I'm sure that's part of the reason why. We do have things like Rocky Mountain oysters disguised under funny names like that....when really, it's just, uh, bull testicles. I wouldn't necessarily put that in the same category as some of the other exotic foods mentioned, though.

We have a soup in Philippines called Soup no.5, it's made of male bull's sex organ. Those who are frequently eating it claims that the exotic soup was an aphrodisac. I can't say if they were right because I haven't tried it.

They are both true. Cats and dogs were all part of the unique delicacy people eat. Had eaten dog once during my younger years due to curiosity. Have seen how cats is cooked but never tasted it. Actually, I cannot blame these people of killing those pets for the sake of survival. And when I say survival, it really means that they belongs to the poorest of the poor people living here in my country.
